Micol Curatolo
(she/they) Italy - Finland
I am an art worker, curator and producer currently based in Finland. My professional interest lies at the intersection of border politics, contemporary art, feminist and antiracist work. My research explores movements and languages that mediate experiences of geography, labour, and migration. Often working collaboratively, my practice questions participation and presents the processes, politics and aesthetics of constructing a sense of place.
I hold a bachelors in History of Art at the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK, 2021) and a masters in Visual Cultures, Curating and Contemporary Art at Aalto University (Espoo, Finland, 2024). Between 2022 and 2025, I worked as project coordinator of PUBLICS Youth Advisory Board at PUBLICS (Helsinki, Finland). In 2025, I developed a research on border politics in curatorial thinking funded by Kone Foundation and initiated the project SLOW - Seasonal Laboratories for Other Worlds with the Museum of Impossible Forms.
